Carol passed away peacefully at the Eaglepark long-term care facility in Qualicum. We thank Eaglepark Long-term Care staff/admin for the excellent care that your organization provided.
Carol was born in The Pas Manitoba but grew up and received most of her education in Flin Flon Mb. Our family moved to Winnipeg and Carol finished her education and worked as a secretary. An opportunity presented itself to Carol in the form of a teaching job in Selkirk Mb. Carol turned that opportunity into a 30+ year successful and rewarding career in teaching high school.
Carol moved to Nanaimo to retire but jumped at another opportunity as Constituency Assistant to the Nanaimo MLA from 2001-2004. Carol enjoyed reading, hobbies, decorating her condo, pets and did I mention reading.
Predeceased by her parents, Myron & Doris Mathers. Survived by her brother Brad Mathers (April), sister Evelyn Mathers and brother Barry Mathers.
