Carl Frederick CHRISTENSEN
1959 - 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the tragic passing of Carl Christensen; husband, son, brother, uncle and dear friend.
Carl will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Karen of 18 years. Carl was predeceased by his dear sister Anne and sadly leaves behind his father Lars, mother Rosa, sisters Rosa and Inge (Dan), and brother Paul (Kris). Also his in-laws, Fay, Kevin, Aileen, Wendi (Bill) and Kyle. Uncle Carl will also be greatly missed by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Carl was born October 3, 1959 in Calgary, Alberta and called Vancouver Island his home from a young age. He was an active, devoted member of Generations Church and a volunteer in the community.
Carl, you were always so full of life, compassion, love and laughter that you touched everyone you knew. Your zest for life was enormous and contagious. You never missed the little things in life and taught us so much. So positive and happy, your smile and energy always lit up the room. We are all so very blessed to have had you touch our lives.
Our family would like to sincerely thank NRGH Emergency staff and the Nanaimo Paramedics for their endless efforts.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Generations Church, 1300 Princess Avenue, Nanaimo at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, August 15, 2016.
