Captain John Cowan Smith
April 25, 1919 - August 5, 2007
John passed peacefully into lasting comfort on Aug. 5/2007. He is survived by his loving wife Maria; stepchildren Rick(Pat), Lauretta (Brian) and Adriana; grandchildren David and Janelle; his loving niece Lynn and her children Derek and Angela; his nieces Hilary (John) and Meredith (Rich).
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, Aug 25th at First Memorial, 1720 Bowen Road, Nanaimo, B.C.
In lieu of flowers, donations can
be made to: Canadian Legion Branch #256.
Our thanks to the staff on Floor 1 at Nanaimo Regional Hospital and to many dear friends for their kind support over the past two months.
The Captain will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
