Bryan was born in Duncan on January 8th, 1942, but lived most of his life in Nanaimo. He passed away peacefully at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital on March 24th, after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his parents, Myrtle and Charlie Stock. After their passing, he spent ten wonderful years in the care and companionship of Emma Stuvie, who continually helped and encouraged him. Thank you so much, Emma. When Emma retired, he moved to Malaspina Gardens, and lived there until his death.
Thank you to all those kind and compassionate people at Malaspina Gardens, Estevan Center, the Assembly Wharf, Canadian Stevedoring, and throughout the community, who were so generous with their time and were always willing to help Bryan to pursue his interests and enjoy whatever he was doing. He was a gentle soul who loved being around others and engaging them in conversation. He was always cheerful and loved to laugh.
Thank you, also, to Dr. Poteryko for his many years of excellent, caring attention and to the staff at the hospital, especially to Dr. Park, for her help and concern.
There will be no funeral, at the request of the family.
