Bruno passed away peacefully on Nov 23, 2019. A native son, Bruno was born in Nanaimo on May 26, 1925 and lived here almost all his life. He worked for Chevron in the 50s/60s and owned a gas station on Terminal Avenue for many years. Upon selling the business, he worked for Harmac as a boom man until his retirement. Bruno dedicated many volunteer hours with Nanaimo minor baseball. Bruno was proud of his Italian heritage. He was very well read and accomplished in languages. In retirement, Bruno and Jackie travelled extensively throughout Canada, the US and Mexico in their RV. They also enjoyed several memorable trips to Europe.
Predeceased by his wife Jackie in 2011, Bruno is survived by his children Tricia Jeffs, Alan (Delaine), Ann Larose (Laurie) and Mark (Irene). His grandchildren Leeza, Caralyn, Hayley, Nathan, Matthew, Courtney, Jonathan, Janelle, Lauren and Alyx as well as 21 great grandchildren. No service by request.
