Common, Brian James

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our son, brother, uncle, grandson, and friend.
Predeceased by his grandfathers Brian Common and Joe Walbourne and his uncle Jim Common.
Brian is survived by his father, Brian Common; mother, Sheryl Rumney; brother, Blake Batta; nieces, Jayda and Baylie Batta; grandmother, Cathy Walbourne; grandparents, Reg and Bobbie Rumney, as well as several uncles, aunts and cousins.
Brian was born and educated in Nanaimo where he resided his whole life. He had a true appreciation for all the beauty Vancouver Island has to offer. Brian had a passion for dirt bike riding, fishing, snowboarding, camping, and swimming at Nanaimo River.
His quick smile, cheerful and positive attitude will be missed by all the people that he has touched.
A Celebration of Brian’s life will be held at the German Cultural Center, 71 Caledonia Avenue, on August 5, 2010 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Brian to the Children’s Hospital.
