It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Bonnie Bullock on Sunday, March 1 at the age of 74 years, at Nanaimo Seniors Village.
Born in Perdue, Saskatchewan to Art and Edna Bloomquist, Bonnie grew up on her parents' farm and has regaled us all with tales of that life over the years. She became a teacher as a young woman, and lived and taught in a number of towns in Saskatchewan and British Columbia before settling in Nanaimo.
In her youth Bonnie loved to travel and enjoyed trips to Europe and Asia. In Nanaimo Bonnie met her husband David Bullock in 1978, and married in 1979, and together they raised two children, John and Natalie. Bonnie continued her career in public education until retiring in 2005. She loved her work and made many friends throughout the school district over the decades.
Bonnie is survived by her husband David, son John, daughter Natalie (Mat) and grandchild Amelia. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bonnie's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
