Bessie May (nee Latter)
June 6, 1938 – February 27, 2014
Bessie is predeceased by parents, Charlie and Bertha Latter; and late partner, Bob Jones. She is survived by her husband, Cyril Norris; her children: Ted (Darlene) Ashley, Len (Viccie) Ashley, David (Bev) Ashley; grandchildren: Courtney, Jennifer, Chelsea, Danica, Brianna; brothers, Bill (Janet) and Walter (Carol); and sister, Dorothy (Ray); also Cecil (Joyce) Ashley and a large extended family.
Thank you to Evelyn and Barb as well as many friends at the Moose Lodge. A special thank you to the NRGH nursing staff on the 5th floor and the Palliative Care Unit.
Bess was a long time ‘Woman of the Moose’ member and was appreciated for her dedication.
A Service, for Bessie, will be held on March 29th, 2014 from 11am-3pm at the Moose Hall, 1356 Cranberry Avenue, Nanaimo BC. Flowers are gratefully declined. For those so desiring, donations can be made to Nanaimo SPCA in her memory.
