1920 - 2008
Long time resident of Nanaimo went to her well
deserved rest July 1, predeceased by beloved
and loving husband, Wes. Survived by son Capt.
W.T. (Bud) Almas (Dorothy); daughter Judy Banks
(Syd); grandchildren Martin (Janice), Jerry (Debbie)
and Raymond Almas; Kirsten Heaton (Rich); David
Banks and Susan (Chris) Banks-Bywater; great
grandchildren Wesley and Christopher; Karalee
and Jillian; Ainsley, Connor and Addisen, Natasha,
Sebastian, Roy and Sophie; brother-in-law Stan
(Nina), cousin Leota (Bob) and Jane, and good friend
Marion. Thanks to all those who took such good care
of Bertha—the staff at NRGH and Nanaimo Seniors’
Village, but especially Nina and Marion.
