Bernie O'Dornan passed away peacefully at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital from advanced cardiac disease. He is survived by his sister Margaret and daughters Brenda, Sharon (Barry) and Maureen (Brad), as well as loving grandchildren Claudia and Lucas.
Bernie was born in Taber, Alberta and worked for Hudson's Bay Oil and Gas in Calgary. Bernie and his family moved to Nanaimo in 1972 where he was employed by the City of Nanaimo. He loved live theatre and was an active member of the Nanaimo Theatre Group for many years. Bernie enjoyed the company of his many friends and family, playing crib, Music Trivia and just meeting for coffee. He recently moved to Victoria where he was able to spend more time with his grandchildren. Being close to them kept his spirit strong!
