Beatrice Pennington

Bea Pennington was born in 1929 on August 27 in Unity, SK and went to a Saskatoon Convent for high school and then to college . Bea taught school near Unity then she fell in love with Len Pennington. She married in 1951 when they moved to Edmonton where Bea contracted Polio. Bea was completely paralyzed and was very close to the iron lung, but Bea worked hard to raise her three kids, Jim, Cherie and Al.

Bea leaves to mourn her passing her husband Len, brother George (Avis Jack), Jim (Diana), Amy, Ashley, Danielle, Cherie (Eric Pitman), Ryan House, Al (Diane), Ricky, Shar Marylaina, god children Greg Poirier and Sammy Bob. Bea was very active and volunteered with Nanaimo Regional General Hospital as a trustee for 6 years. Bea was active in Post Polio in Nanaimo and Parksville, as well as St Peters Catholic Church and Nanaimo Trinity Catholic Church. Her family and friends were of most importance to her. Bea loved to play her Laury organ at Berwick, it was her gift to her friends at Berwick. Bea was a great China Painter, she painted tea sets, vases, plates and everything she could. She thanks Alma Legg for her teaching and good advice in China Painting.

Bea thanks her hubby Len for his hard working and his knowledge, life savings and investments.
