Dempsey, Beatrice May
Bea passed away at Nanaimo Seniors’ Village on November 2, 2005. She was born in Welwyn, Saskatchewan, November 14, 1916. In 1937 Bea moved to Victoria. There she met Ken, whom she married in 1939. A 47 year resident of Langford (Glen Lake), Bea was an active member of Gordon United Church until she moved to Nanaimo in 2000 to be closer to her family. She participated in league bowling up to the age of 84. Predeceased by her husband Ken in 1978, she is survived by her son Brian (Colleen) and her granddaughter Laura of Lantzville, her sister Verna Hunt of Victoria, brother Fred Wedgewood of Sidney, and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Fund.
