Nazaruk, Barbara
passed away peacefully on January 17 at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital at the age of 83. Predeceased by her husband Karl in 1986, Barbara is lovingly remembered by her 3 sons and their families: Neen (Sandy) and Fred in Nanaimo and Allack (Barbara Anne) in Surrey; grandchildren Dean (Sarah) in Prince George, Glenn in Victoria, Kim (Chris) and Scott in Nanaimo; greatgrandchildren Julianna, Ben, Jack, Savannah, Jesse, Sabrina, Jonathan, Emily, and Samuel. She is also survived by her brother Nick (Mary) Burma, sisters Jean (Mike) Gorval and Effie Gorval, sister-in-law Jean Burma, and many nieces and nephews. Barbara lived in Nanaimo since 1943. She was a homemaker who was devoted to her family and home. She enjoyed gardening and cooking and having her family around her. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, January 24 at 1PM at First Baptist Church at 1650 Waddington Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society of B.C. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Emergency at NRGH for their care and compassion.
