Barb passed away peacefully surrounded by love on February 25 at Eden Gardens which is located on the property of her childhood home.
Predeceased by her parents Ian and Jessie Bruce and sister Annetta Thornett.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Adrian; daughter Bev (Jim) Miller; son Bruce Doumont; grandsons Alec (Sommer), Andrew, Cody and Eric; sister-in-law Dorothy; nephews Ian, Darren and Todd; niece Deanna; and many other extended family members.
Barb grew up on Northfield Road and later moved to Lantzville with Adrian to raise a family on their Superior Road property. She was a talented seamstress and crafter, always making special things for family and friends. Barb loved spending time with her family, always being the first one there to watch her grandsons at any sport or activity. She enjoyed many trips to Waikiki, Puerto Vallarta and Reno. She also loved being by the ocean, or as she called it 'The Chuck'.
Special thanks to everyone at Eden Gardens for their care and compassion, especially over the difficulties of the past year.
