Born March 6, 1922, passed away April 8, 2005 in NRGH. Art is survived by Mary, his wife of 61 years, sons Ron (Pat), Dave (Betty-Ann), Jim (Lanoa) and daughters Margaret (Mike), Diane (Larry). He also leaves 8 grandchildren Pam, Heather (Keith), Chris, Ray, Scott, Megan, Brent and Vanessa and 5 great grandchildren Cheyenne, Kaitlin, Mikhaila, Jordan and Caylyn. Predeceased by son Kenneth Arthur and brothers Cyril and Louie. Survived by sisters Anne, Kay, Joan and Jackie. Art was a long time member of Eagles, NDP and was an original member of Nanaimo Credit Union and CO-OP. He worked as a machinist & retired from Harmac in 1987 after 12 years. Born & raised in Nanaimo, Art married and spent his life with his family on the Sunnus family farm in Yellow Point. A celebration of Art's life will be held at the Cedar Community Hall on Saturday, April 16th, 2005 from 1:00pm-3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital Foundation, 1200 Dufferin Crescent, Nanaimo, BC V9S 2B7
