KIVISTO, ARCHIE – peacefully on November 29, 2007 in Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, following a brief illness. Archie is survived by his loving daughter, Liz Graham (nee Fournier), grandson Satchel Ives, granddaughter Charlotte Ives, sisters Anita Hanes and Mae Laukkanen, brother Bob West (Julie), numerous nieces and nephews and relatives in Finland. Predeceased by his father Andy Kivisto, his mother Saimi West and brother Toivo. Born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Archie was a proud veteran of World War II. He was a long standing employee of both the Department of Highways in Ontario and the Domtar Pulp & Paper Mill in Red Rock, Ontario. Archie retired to Ladysmith, BC in 1984 to be near his brothers and sisters. He was an avid sports fan, especially of his beloved Toronto Blue Jays. His friends and relatives will remember his good nature, clever wit and was a treasure to us all.

There will be no funeral by request. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or any charity of your choice, would be greatly appreciated.
