The family of Anne Andruski is saddened to announce the passing of our dear mom, grandma, sister and aunt, on October 25, 2021 at age 92. Anne was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Peter Andruski, her brother Zane Petryk, and nephews, Rodney and Randall Petryk. She is survived by her children, Carolyn Hall (Wayne), Sharyn Collins (Robbie), Robyn Andruski and Evelyn Macdonald (Barry); grandchildren, Michael, Christyn, Erik and Lauryn; brother, Stanley Petryk (Marie) and niece Roxanne Reiter (Rick).
Anne had a playful, curious spirit and made many friends while residing in Boyle, Salmon Arm and Nanaimo. She was a lifelong learner, joyfully pursuing ballroom dancing, Tai Chi, piano, skiing, travel and the study of languages. She loved being a Red Hatter and was an avid community volunteer spending many years serving the Hospital Auxiliary and Nanaimo Ambassador programs. Mom had a gift for needlework including knitting, crocheting and tatting. She loved to garden and had a passion for all flowers, especially roses. Mom was an amazing cook and baker, and hosted many wonderful gatherings.
As a family, we thank brother Robyn for his gentle and unwavering dedication to caring for mom and dad. We also appreciate the kindness and care provided by the teams at VIHA and Dufferin Place. Thank you, mom, for your unconditional devotion to family. We love you and miss you.
