Anna Walters (Green)
September 21st 1923 – April 06th 2014
Anna passed away peacefully April 6th. She leaves us: a loving mother, a positive attitude for those who met her, she was always willing to help anyone in need. She loved all those around her. She made a home in Nanaimo for the better part of her life with her husband Weldrick (Wally) predeceased, raising for 4 children, Sherrilee, Ed predeceased, Bill and Cindy. Anna touched the lives of her 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and survived by her sister Isa Waugh. A longtime manager at the Robinson Store located in the Harewood Shopping Mall. She was a driven woman who strove to make the world a better place, spending countless hours involved in various community services; a past Grand Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star #43 Nanaimo, and enjoying her time volunteering with the Cancer Dressing Station.
The family would like to thank the staff at Dufferin Place for the outstanding care and attention given to her during her residency.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date, in lieu of flowers the family would request donations be made to Dufferin Long Term Care Facility or the charity of your choice. Anna you will be greatly missed.
