June 5, 1927 – September 24, 2016
With great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother Anna, pre-deceased by her beloved husband Harvey and son Brian (Maria). Survived by her loving children: Duane (Linda), Larry (Esmée), and Anna Marie (Ambrose), 8 beautiful grandchildren, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Anna was known for her love of travel, gardening, entertaining with family and friends, reading and crossword puzzles. She spent her final years with travelling companion and cherished friend Archie Brown. Our thanks to the staff at Berwick on the Lake, Dufferin Place, and Nurse Next Door, Dr. Poteryko and Anna’s friend Elaine for their care and compassion. Traditional Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 01, 2016 @ 1:00 pm at Sands Funeral Chapel, One Newcastle Ave. Nanaimo, BC followed by internment at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens.
