MADARASZ, Andrew Sr. - Born on June 20, 1923 in Hungary, passed away peacefully at NRGH on September 13th, 2002. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Maria, son Andrew Jr. (Shirley) grandchildren, Christian and Nikki, great grandchildren, Alyssa and Alex. Since his arrival in Nanaimo, he was a co-founder and active member of the Nanaimo Hungarian Cultural Society. As a member of the Nanaimo Golf and Country Club, he enjoyed many hours of playing golf with his best friend Joe Szasz. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 22nd at 3 p.m. at the Nanaimo Hungarian Cultural Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
