ALLEN H. (PAT) REID passed away September 30, 2007 after a long illness, in Drayton Valley, Alberta. He is survived by his loving wife, Arlene and her family, his son Phillip, and numerous loving grandchildren who made his life joyous. Also his sister Phyllis Cachelin, niece Adrienne and nephew Arnold Cachelin.
Pat grew up and attended schools in Ladysmith, B.C. then moved to Drayton Valley on his retirement. He served in the R.C.N. during World War II. In his latter years he became a published writer known for his nostalgic poems. Celebration of life will be held in Drayton Valley at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 13.
