Thornton, Allan George
Allan Thornton passed away peacefully at home on June 6th, 2013 at the age of 76. Al will be remembered as a man dedicated to the well-being of family and friends, and his efforts within community organizations such as the Nanaimo Bathtub Society, Protection Island Lions Club, and Nanaimo Child Development Center. Survived by his immediate family: wife, Josie; daughter, Denise; son, Darren; grandchildren; Desmond, Tyrel and Blake as well as siblings, and friends.
No funeral service as per Al’s request. In lieu of gifts or flowers, a small donation, in his name, to organizations such as the Vancouver Island Kidney Patients Association, Nanaimo Child Development Center, or Protection Island Lions Club would be appreciated. Rest in peace Al...
