Soon, Alice (nee Lum)
June 14, 1933 - June 30, 2016
With all her family by her side at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital it is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Alice Soon.
Predeceased by her son Kenny Soon and survived by the love of her life husband Jimmie, four daughters Lily Radelja (John), Sandra Soon-Flahr (Rod), Cindy Akenclose, Cheryl Tait (Jeff), the constant joys of her life grandchildren Sheena, Amber, Tyler, Whitney, Garrett (Kaitlyn), Maxine and sister Shirley Mah.
Her family would like to thank Dr. Peter King and all the NRGH staff for all the wonderful care & compassion Alice was given.
In lieu of flowers a donation in her memory can be made to the Heart & Stroke foundation and/or Canadian Diabetes Foundation.
There will be no funeral service per Alice’s request but her family will host an open house on Saturday, July 9, 2016 between 1pm – 4pm at 2687 Willowgrouse Crescent, Nanaimo, B.C.
