Alfred Wakelem
January 3, 1943 - September 10, 2016
With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Alfred Wakelem at Squamish BC. Alfie (Scottie) was born in Glasgow Scotland and grew up in Nanaimo, BC. He loved the game of hockey and played throughout his life. During Alf’s career he worked at Inland Kenworth as the branch manager of Cranbrook & Penticton locations, also at Finning as an international equipment sales representative, later he operated his own business. He retired in Squamish, BC.
He is predeceased by his mother and father Walter & Margaret Wakelem, survived by his Sister Sandra (Hugh) McCormick, nieces Deanna & Jody, nephew Rory, great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on September 25, 2016, 2pm-4pm at Royal Canadian Legion Branch #10, 129 Harewood Rd., Nanaimo, BC.
