Winkelman, Agnes Phyllis
of Extension BC, passed away peacefully at home in Nanaimo with her family on July 30, 2004. She grew up in Extension as a miner’s daughter and married Matt in 1940 who was a miner. They moved to South Wellington and around the Southend. Then moved a 2 car garage up to the Southend and built a house around it where for 57 years they lived and raised their family. Predeceased by her son Sonny Boy boy in 2002 and her loving husband Matt in Feb. 2004. She is survived by her daughter La-Ray (Gibson) Brown of Victoria; 3 grandchildren Phyllis Larochelle, Nanaimo; Lorna-Ann (Doug) Ouellette of Victoria and Rory McCormick and family of Ontario; great-grandchildren Krystle Miller, Joscilyn Quellette and Ryan Miller. Also her brother Charles Horth. “You will be missed, you were always there. We loved you in life and will miss you greatly”. Memorial Services will be held in the chapel of Mount Benson Funeral Home, 125 Wallace St., Nanaimo, Tuesday, August 10th, 2004 at 1:00pm. Reception following.
