In Loving Memory ~
Adeline passed away peacefully at the age of 91, at Echo Village in Port Alberni, where she had resided for six months following a hip injury. Prior to that, she enjoyed five happy years at Lakeside Gardens in Nanaimo.
Born in Nut Mountain, Saskatchewan, Adeline was the daughter of Patricia and Alfred, and she grew up alongside her younger sister Dell, brothers Gerry and Barry. The family later moved to Victoria, BC.
Tragically, Adeline lost her mother to tuberculosis, when she was just 11 years old.
In her early adulthood, Adeline met and married Jack McNaught, with whom she raised four children: Michael, David, Andrew, and Kasandra.
In her later years, she married Moe Banks, and together they enjoyed 30 years of traveling and crafting.
Adeline was a talented seamstress and quilter, and crafting was her passion throughout her life. Known for her spirited nature, she approached life with tenacity, even as she faced challenges with dementia in her later years.
Adeline is now reunited with her youngest son, Andrew, who sadly passed away unexpectedly in 2022.
She is survived by her children Michael (Michele), David (Lynn), and Kasandra (Brad); her brother Gerry (Sylvia); grandchildren Laura, Randy, Kyle, Dustin, Shayla, Hailey, Briannaa and Malcome, and five great grandchildren.
Until we meet again, keep on dancing, Adeline. The sparkle of your beautiful blue eyes, will always be remembered.
A private family celebration of life will be held in Lantzville.
