WRIGHT, A. R. Gordon

born in Brandon, Manitoba, December 11, 1918, passed away peacefully at the Dwelling Place, Nanaimo, BC, March 27, 2004. Gordon (or Gordy to his close friends) is survived by his loving wife Jean; and his 4 beloved children; son Robert, daughters Jane (Don) Swiatlowski, Joanne (Rod) Smith, and son David (Anne Marie); 5 loving grandchildren, Nicholas, Karla, Kristi, Courtney and Brittney; surviving sister Margaret Bennest, as well as relatives and friends. Gord graduated from Lord Byng High School in Vancouver, and in 1941 volunteered for active military duty, and was assigned to the RCAF, serving in the Middle East. He was honoured for his services by King George VI in January 1945 with a Mentioned in Despatches. We will miss him dearly. May he rest in peace forever more. The family would like to thank the staff at the Dwelling Place for their loving care, friendship and humanity. No service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice.
