As the second-largest city on Vancouver Island, Nanaimo’s Public Works yard, built in the 1960s, was not designed to support a community of this size. The proposed Public Works Yard Updates Project will replace the agingfleet maintenance and administrative buildings to match our city’s growth.
Join us at one of the following free tour information sessions of the City’s Public Works Yard to learn more about this project and the services Public Works provides to keep Nanaimo running:

Register for a 60-minute guided tour and information session of Nanaimo’s Public Works Yard. Learn about the project as well as the services provided by Nanaimo’s Public Works and Parks Operations crews.

• In person at a City rec centre.
The City is running an Alternative Approval Process (AAP)1from September 18 at 8:30 am to October 31, 2024 at 4:30 pm, to seek approval from resident electors to borrow up to $90 million to build this project.
