NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE AMENDED OPERATIONAL CERTIFICATE 1714
UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT ACT.
Take notice that the Director, Environmental Protection, Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy (ENV), intends, a minimum of 30 days after the last date of publication of this notice, to issue AMENDED OPERATIONAL CERTIFICATE 1714 for the existing Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) regional landfill Facility located at 1105 Cedar Road in Nanaimo, British Columbia.
The draft amended OPERATIONAL CERTIFICATE 1714 has been generally updated in accordance with the approved RDN solid waste management plan and current ENV guidance. No increase in the size of the existing landfill site is proposed.
The draft amended operational certificate is available on the ENV website at https://j200.gov.bc.ca/pub/ams/Default.aspx?PossePresentation=DocumentSearch (Search Authorization Number: 1714) and on the RDN website at https://www.rdn.bc.ca/solidwaste-disposal-facilities
Any comments regarding the draft amended operational certificate must be sent to the Director, Environmental Protection, ENV via email: Authorizations.South@gov.bc.ca within 30 days after the last date of publication of this notice.
