BUSINESS LICENCE AMENDMENT BYLAW 2024 NO. 7318.02

Business Licence Amendment Bylaw 2024 No. 7318.02 received first three readings at the Regular Meeting of Council on November 18, 2024. The proposed amendment, if adopted, introduces definitions for short-term rental and short-term rental operator, provides additional regulations pertaining to short-term rentals and mobile-only businesses and other house-keeping amendments to provide more clarity.

The proposed bylaw amendment is scheduled to proceed to Council for adoption at its Regular Meeting on Monday, December 16, 2024 at 7:00 pm in the Auditorium of the Vancouver Island Conference Centre, 80 Commercial Street.

Anyone wishing to address Council on this matter must contact Legislative Services before 11:00 am, Friday, December 13, 2024. Applications to appear as a delegation are available at the Legislative Services Department or online at https://www.nanaimo.ca/goto/delegation.

The proposed bylaw is available for viewing at the Service and Resource Centre, 411 Dunsmuir Street or via the City’s website at www.nanaimo.ca.
