A zipline attraction will start zipping people over the lagoon starting tomorrow.
The zipline at Maffeo Sutton Park’s Sway’ A’ Lana Lagoon will be open to the public beginning Saturday, June 30, according to a press release from WildPlay Element Parks, which will be operating the attraction.
“We have been eagerly anticipating beginning operations at the harbour zipline,” said Tom Benson, CEO of WildPlay Element Parks, in the press release. “The zipline is going to thrill our guests and be a great new element right in the heart of Nanaimo.”
The zipline will operate 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Fridays through Mondays until September and the cost to take a ride will be $20. WildPlay is introducing a shuttle service to take people from Maffeo Sutton Park to WildPlay Nanaimo south of the city limits.
