UPDATE: Woman not accessing shelters in Nanaimo, who was considered missing, found

UPDATE: Nanaimo RCMP say the 25-year-old has been found safe and sound.

PREVIOUSLY POSTED: Nanaimo RCMP are asking for help locating a woman experiencing homelessness who hasn’t been accessing emergency shelters of late.

Police issued a press release advising that Tara-Marie Connor, 25, hasn’t been seen since Sept. 6 and was reported missing Sept. 7. Police say Connor is known to frequent shelters in Nanaimo.

“Police spoke to staff at those locations and were told that it is out of character for Connor to not attend to their facilities. As a result, they are concerned for her safety and well-being,” the release noted.

Connor is white, 5-foot-5, 180 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, and quote file No. 2021-33890.
