A vigil in memorial of the victims of the Jan. 29 shooting at a Quebec City mosque will be will held tonight (Feb. 2) in Nanaimo.
According to a press release, the memorial will be held at Diana Krall Plaza, 51 Gordon St., beginning at 6 p.m. and will see attendance by a number of community groups, including Nanaimo's Muslim community, in solidarity to show support for victims.
"While Canadians continue to mourn the loss of life in this tragic incident, over the past two days, there have been flowers, sympathy cards and candles left at the Islamic Centre of Nanaimo by a number of neighbors and supporters from the community," said the press release.
