Oceanside RCMP requesting public assistance in locating Carmel Georgina Gilmour

The Oceanside RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing woman after a Qualicum Beach resident discovered the van she was last seen in abandoned.

Carmel Georgina Gilmour was last seen in Parksville on Nov. 15, driving her van, according to an RCMP press release.

The night of Tuesday, Nov. 21, a Qualicum Beach resident reported a suspicious, abandoned van. Police confirmed the van was the same that same Gilmour was last seen in. She was not found in the area.

The 36-year-old woman is described as caucasian with long, brown hair, hazel eyes, 5-foot-6 with a medium build.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Oceanside RCMP at 250-248-6111.
