UPDATED: High-risk offender arrested by Nanaimo police

Ministry of Justice Corrections Branch issued a public notification for high-risk offender Paul Little on Friday.

Nanaimo RCMP arrested Paul Little for alleged breach of court-ordered conditions a day after the Ministry of Justice Corrections Branch issued a public notification for the high-risk, violent sexual offender who plans to live in the City of Nanaimo.

Paul Little, 28, has a lengthy criminal history, including aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault causing bodily harm, robbery, fraud, possession of a weapon and taking a vehicle without consent, according to a Corrections Branch press release.

After his arrest, Little was held in custody for a court appearance Monday.

Little is described at 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 168 pounds, and of aboriginal descent. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Little is subject to close monitoring by authorities and must abide by court-ordered conditions, including prohibition on carrying or possessing weapons, and from consuming or possessing alcohol or any controlled substance. He is not allowed to enter any liquor store, beer and wine store, or business whose purpose is the sale or distribution of alcoholic beverages and must not be outside his residence between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.
