Nanaimo RCMP have taken a man, considered violent and wanted on several outstanding arrest warrants, into custody.
Brian Thomas, 34, of Nanaimo, was arrested early Monday morning at a home in south Nanaimo without incident, according to Nanaimo RCMP.
Police had issued a public advisory they were searching for Thomas Thursday after he allegedly assaulted a woman and then threatened to cause her bodily harm. Thomas was also wanted for breaching terms of previous probation orders.
Thomas is will appear in Nanaimo provincial court today (Feb. 6) or Tuesday (Feb. 7).
