Tools valued at $10,000 taken from Tim Hortons

NANAIMO – Construction workers' tool stolen from Dickinson Crossing Tim Hortons.

Construction workers lost an estimated $10,000 worth of tools when the Dickinson Crossing Tim Hortons was broken into Tuesday.

According to Nanaimo RCMP, Workers reported the break and enter Wednesday at 7 a.m. when they arrived for work at the franchise, located at 6892 Island Highway, which is currently closed for renovations.

Sometime during the night, suspects pried open and crawled through the drive through window. Many of the tools taken were labelled with the initials "EF" or "DB," said police.

Police said the restaurant's owners will put extra security on site until renovations are completed.
