Residents with questions about a proposed tidal energy project at Dodd Narrows will have an opportunity to ask them Friday (Sept. 9) from 2-4 p.m. at Silva Bay Pub on Gabriola Island.

Representatives from Western Tidal Power Ltd. will be on hand to field any questions and provide more information about the project, which is entering the early stages of investigating the site to determine if the project is feasible.

It is estimated that, if installed, the project could produce five megawatts of power, enough energy to power Gabriola and Mudge islands and most of Harmac mill.
