No one was hurt in a three-vehicle pileup on the highway Monday evening.

A truck towing a trailer, a crossover-utility vehicle and a pickup truck were involved in the crash, which happened about 6:40 p.m. at the intersection of Mostar Road and the Nanaimo Parkway.

According to Nanaimo Fire Rescue, all three vehicles were southbound on the parkway. The truck towing the trailer wasn’t able to stop at the light and struck the back of the crossover, forcing it into the back of the pickup.

One female passenger was taken to Nanaimo Regional General Hospital for observation, but no injuries were reported.
