Three people were taken to hospital after a car crash on Mary Ellen Drive Tuesday.
According to Nanaimo RCMP, shortly after 6 p.m., a Chevrolet Uplander was travelling eastbound through the Woodgrove Crossing intersection when it struck a Jeep Patriot and caused it to roll over.
Const. Gary O’Brien, Nanaimo RCMP spokesman, said the driver of the Jeep and two occupants of the Chevy were taken to Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. He said he’s heard numerous complaints about the intersection and believes it should be controlled by a traffic light.
A traffic ticket was issued to the Chevy driver for failing to stop at a stop sign.
