Three people injured in three-car crash at Nanaimo’s Enterprise Way

Incident happened Thursday, June 23

Three people were taken to hospital after a three-vehicle crash on the old Island Highway in north Nanaimo this morning.

RCMP, Nanaimo Fire Rescue, and B.C. Ambulance Service were called to the highway at Enterprise Way at 10:40 a.m. on Thursday, June 23.

Crews on scene said two of the drivers as well as one passenger were taken to hospital for treatment of unknown injuries, while another driver was unhurt.

The vehicles are being towed now and the scene is clearing.

According to the most recently available ICBC statistics, there were 26 crashes at that intersection in 2020, 11th most among Nanaimo intersections. Over the past five years, there have been 202 crashes there, fourth most among Nanaimo intersections.
