Thousands of dollars worth of jewelry stolen in apartment break-in

Thousands of dollars worth of jewelry were allegedly stolen during an apartment break-in sometime last week.

According to police, an apartment at 1651 Dufferin Cres. was broken into sometime between July 15 and 22.

Jewelry, valued at $5,000 to $15,000, included three brooches, three necklaces and eight rings. Also missing are several roll-up jewelry bags.

Details of the theft were included in a Nanaimo RCMP press release listing a number of unsolved crimes.
