Police in Nanaimo are looking for three scooters and whoever took them from a seniors home in Nanaimo.

Three mobility scooters were discovered to have been stolen from a garage at Oak Tree Manor on Hecate Street on Jan. 27, noted a Nanaimo RCMP press release this week. Police said it appeared one or more culprits tampered with the garage door opener and gained access to the garage.

Investigators were able to obtain details for two of the scooters. One was a Shoprider Trail Blazer Model 889SLSE. The other scooter was a red Shoprider Model 889SL, with serial number 1893C64A0014. The red Shoprider also had two hooks on the back for carrying groceries.

Anyone with information about the thefts of these scooters or their whereabouts is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345.
