Thieves cut through a fence in a break-and-enter last month in South Wellington.
According to an RCMP press release issued this week, thieves stole a generator sometime over the weekend of Jan. 20-22 from National Energy Equipment on School House Road just south of Nanaimo.
“Thieves gained access by cutting a hole in the surrounding fence, then once inside, set their sights on removing a Yardworks generator by dragging it through the opening in the fence to awaiting vehicle,” noted the release.
