Suspect makes off with $150 worth of meat

Incident occurred Tuesday at about 3 p.m. at Real Canadian Superstore

A man allegedly stole $150 in meat products from a north-end store earlier this week.

According to a Nanaimo RCMP press release, a man fled from a loss prevention officer at Real Canadian Superstore on Tuesday. Const. Gary O’Brien, Nanaimo RCMP spokesman, said the incident happened just before 3 p.m.

The suspect is described as a “rough-looking” white man in his 40s, about 5-foot-8 with a slim build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black baseball cap, dark-coloured jacket and was carrying a laptop bag.
