Firefighters deal with a head-on crash between a GMC Safari van and a Honda Civic.
According to police, the van was northbound on the Island Highway near Country Club Centre, shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday, when the Honda turned left toward 107th Street and the vehicles collided.
The driver and passenger of the Honda were taken to Nanaimo Regional General Hospital with injuries. The woman driving the GMC was not seriously injured.
