Travel around the province is opening back up and B.C. Ferries is reopening some shops and services that will enhance the travel experience.
The ferry corporation announced that the Nanaimo Quay Market at the Departure Bay ferry terminal is reopening Friday, June 26. Market buildings, washrooms and some vendors will be open, with more vendors to reopen next week.
The Tsawwassen Quay Market is also reopening.
B.C. Ferries says health and safety measures will be in place including support for physical distancing, enhanced cleaning and sanitizing and “foot traffic control.” The press release says dine-in options will not be available.
B.C. Ferries asks that all travellers have with them a face mask to wear on vessels and at the terminal in situations where physical distancing is challenging.
