The senior who went missing in Nanaimo’s Stephenson Point area yesterday was found dead.

B.C. RCMP reported that the 82-year-old woman’s body was found the afternoon of Tuesday, Dec. 13, and no criminality is suspected in the case. The woman had been reported missing that morning when her daughter arrived at the home to find the front door open and her mother nowhere to be found.

RCMP offered condolences to the woman’s family and thanked members of the public and the media for sharing information about the case.
