School district seeks agreement with Lantzville

NANAIMO – School trustees want a closer relationship with Lantzville council.

Nanaimo school trustees want a closer relationship with Lantzville council.

Trustees asked staff to contact District of Lantzville staff to develop a collaboration agreement similar to the one the school board and Nanaimo city council signed in December.

“We just want to formalize our relationship with [Lantzville] council and see if there are any mutually supportive things we can do,” said Jamie Brennan, school board chairman.

“We’ll likely be asking our staff to meet with Ladysmith as well.”

He said the collaboration agreement with Nanaimo helped move a major land swap process along in December. An agreement with Lantzville will allow the parties to work together.
