Salmon foundation to host annual charity dinner

On the heels of a successful salmon return to local waters so far this season, the Pacific Salmon Foundation will host its ninth annual charity dinner, dance and auction on Nov. 26 at Beban Park.

On the heels of a successful salmon return to local waters so far this season, the Pacific Salmon Foundation will host its ninth annual charity dinner, dance and auction on Nov. 26 at Beban Park.

The night will consist of live and silent auctions as well as several raffles. Auctions will include fishing adventures, original artwork, giftware, jewelry and lots of other items. Dinner tickets, $60 each, include a seafood bar, dinner buffet, dessert, and wine.

Tickets are available at Gone Fishin' at 600-2980 North Island Highway, Wholesale Sports Outdoor Outfitters, Department of Fisheries and Oceans at 3225 Stephenson Point Rd., and DFO at 304-60 Front St. Donations to the PSF are also accepted.

All net proceeds will be directed toward salmon restoration in the local area, which includes the east coast of Vancouver Island between Duncan and Fanny Bay.
